CAN YOU HELP??
Due to our space issues, our biggest challenge at the moment is transporting the bicycles to our various events. Various parts (large seats, handlebar extenders) will also help us adapt our current fleet of bicycles to meet the needs of specific children.
TAX RECEIPTS AND DONATIONS
The Edmonton Bicycle Commuters Society is a not for profit organization and thus not able to issue tax receipts. However, we are extremely fortunate to have the Alberta Association for Community Living (AACL) as a community partner. If you wish to make a charitable donation to help us purchase bikes, please make a cheque out to AACL and clearly indicate that it is for the You Can Ride Too program.
For those that don’t require a tax receipt, donations to the Edmonton Bicycle Commuters’ Society are gratefully accepted online via PayPal
We also appreciate donations of any of the bikes listed below (or others that are particularly fantastic) and any components that would help us create more adapted or accessible bicycles including backrests, balance wheels, tandems and/or large trikes. Another of our amazing partners, the Canadian Paraplegic Association is able to give tax receipts for donations of certain adapted bikes- please contact us for more information.
In general, we do not accept unmodified kids’ bikes. However, Sport Central does.
