Teaching two-wheeled cycling to individuals with a cognitive disability.

In 2013, 7 amazing youth and their families participated in a research study. This research was supported by the Women and Children’s Health Research Institute (WCHRI) and researchreceived ethics approval through the University of Alberta. The purpose of our study was to determine the effectiveness of cognitive strategies when teaching two-wheeled cycling to children with cognitive delays.

The results of this research were extremely positive and we will be integrating what we learned into our You Can Ride 2 programs. Thank you to everyone who participated!
